Creating a Note on a Student User Record in Pulse

This article explains how to create a note for a student user in Pulse.

Navigate to Users.

Search for the student user whose record you wish to view.

Click the Full Name hyperlink to open the student user record.

The student’s Information record displays. Click the Files & Notes tab.

NOTE: Selecting the IEP/504 check box does not add the Buzz flag. Please see information on Accommodations in the Display Options in People article for more information.

Scroll down to Notes and click Add Note.

The note creation form displays. Enter the text for your note into the textbox in the Content field.

NOTE: The asterisk * indicates a required field.

TIP: Use the formatting toolbar to manipulate your text.

Optionally, click the Private checkbox to mark the note private.

IMPORTANT:  When selecting the LMS Note check box in Pulse, the student is flagged in the teacher's gradebook within Buzz.

WARNING: The details within the Content box are displayed as the student's Individualized education program notes within Buzz. This will only retain the most recent LMS Note from Pulse.

To add a watcher to the note, click Add Watcher, and begin to type a UsernameFull NameLast Name, or Email. Then, select the appropriate user from the list.

Click Save Note or Cancel.
