      Updating Your Browser

      This article explains how to update your web browser.

      Keeping your web browser up to date keeps your computer secure and safe from potentially malicious viruses and malware.

      Below are directions for updating Google Chrome and Firefox.

      Google Chrome

      Open Google Chrome.

      At the top right of the browser toolbar, click More.

      Click Help.

      Click About Google Chrome.

      If Chrome is out of date, it will update automatically to the latest version.

      Firefox

      Open Firefox.

      Click the Menu button.

      Click Help.

      Select About Firefox.

      The About Mozilla Firefox window will open. Firefox will begin checking for updates and downloading them automatically.
