• Districts that have a dedicated subject matter expert to support content-specific questions. Students will not have a dedicated subject matter expert provided by Lincoln Learning.
• Districts looking for an easier initial transition to online learning where students complete only online auto-graded assessments with built-in feedback.
• Districts that have limited resources for printing worksheets for graded assessments. Worksheets are still available within the content for skill building.

• Districts that need full-teaching services for their virtual learners in a self-paced environment.

• Districts with staff who can teach and facilitate courses.

• Districts that want alternatives to default course settings.
• Districts that want to adjust assessments (e.g., number of assessments in the course, settings, points, questions, etc.).
• Districts that want flexibility for a hybrid option (e.g., half time in a physical setting/half time online).
• Districts who can dedicate a client teacher to auto-graded courses that contain students with accommodations/modifications. Auto-graded courses without a client teacher are not ideal for students with accommodations. 

System-generated questions assembled from a vast bank of questions are pooled and randomly generated for students at intervals throughout the course. These questions are scored by the learning management system (LMS), and pre-curated feedback is provided to the student instantly upon submission. There are no authentic work opportunities or project-based assessments.

Teachers grade authentic assessments based on rubrics within the content. They will also provide individualized feedback on each assessment within two business days (48 hours).

A qualified teacher who is assigned to a course for the purpose of grading authentic work and providing assessment feedback.

Ungraded assignments include worksheets, activities, and other practice opportunities that allow students to self-assess the material covered in the course in a low impact environment.

Teachers will implement documented accommodations and/or modifications from IEP/GIEP/Section 504 plans, which are applicable to our online courses. (Applicable for Lincoln Learning taught courses.)

NOTE: This would be the full responsibility of the client when using client teachers.

IMPORTANT: As the default, Auto-Graded courses do not have a dedicated Lincoln Learning Solutions Teacher Facilitator to make student accommodations. If a student needs accommodations, the student should either be enrolled in a course with Lincoln Learning Solutions teaching services or an Auto-Graded course with a client teacher.

Completion based on a predefined amount of time associated with a course activity. Once this time has elapsed, the activity will be considered complete. Time-based completion is not required, but encouraged, because it is the only way that course completion percentage increases. (Applicable for Lincoln Learning taught courses.)

Completion based on the action of a student selecting the MARK THIS ACTIVITY COMPLETE button. Students will need to select this button for the activity to be considered complete. Action-based completion is not required, but encouraged, because it is the only way that course completion percentage increases. (Applicable to auto-graded classes only.)

Graded assignments/assessments are the only required completion indicator.

Assessments are designed with built-in automatic retries, allowing a student to resubmit an assignment without requesting a reset from a teacher. (Applicable in auto-graded courses only.)

Courses will be automatically finalized when using Lincoln Learning Solutions’ teaching entities once a student completes all graded items within a course and achieves an overall passing score.
